Lutronic eCO2™ Plus
The Lutronic eCO2™ Plus is a fractional ablative CO2 laser system designed for medical aesthetic treatments.

About The Lutronic eCO2™ Plus
The Lutronic eCO2™ Plus is a fractional ablative CO2 laser system designed for medical aesthetic treatments. It resurfaces damaged skin by selectively targeting a fraction of skin cells at the treatment site, which targets damaged cells and stimulates the growth of healthy skin and supportive collagen fibers. As the skin heals, wrinkles smooth, dark spots fade, and skin texture and complexion improve.
Key Benefit Features & Technology
The eCO2 Plus works with a patented Controlled Chaos Technology (CCT™), an algorithm that delivers each micro-laser beam pseudo-randomly so there's maximum distance between successive beams. This lets tissue dissipate the greatest possible heat between shots, resulting in increased safety, fewer post-operative discomfort, and faster healing with excellent results.
It's a customizable fractional CO2 laser with 0.1mm precision that allows for balanced results and safety by delivering a full range of ablative/non-ablative energy at desired levels and depths. In medicine, "ablative" refers to removing or destroying tissue or a body part, often using heat, cold, or other energy sources.
The system includes EcoTone™, a light resurfacing treatment that requires minimal downtime and expands the range of therapeutic choices available to practitioners.
Treatment Applications
The Lutronic eCO2 Plus is used for:
- Diminishing wrinkles, fine lines, and acne scars
- Reducing sun damage and pigmentation issues
- Scar treatments, including large burn scars
Treatment Expectations & Recovery
Since CO2 lasers are often used for more severe skin issues like deep wrinkles, lines, and scarring, they can sometimes lead to more significant discomfort compared to other laser treatments. To manage this, topical anesthetics can be applied, and oral medications may be prescribed if necessary. We will cover all of this in a consultation.
Side effects after treatment may include skin redness, mild swelling, and minor crusting and oozing at the treatment site, a natural part of the body's healing process. Some patients may take a few days off work after treatment to allow the skin to recover.
Following a fractional resurfacing treatment, patients commonly experience mild swelling and redness that lasts around 2-5 days. More intensive treatments can cause redness that lasts for 1-2 weeks. However, in most instances, normal activities can be resumed as early as 5 days post-treatment.
